Outstanding
I called up the surgery at 8.30am, got through within a few rings and spoke to a very pleasant receptionist. I explained my issue (raging pain, swelling and heat from multiple insect bites) and she showed great care and sympathy when she informed me that I'd be placed on the doctor's urgent triage list for a call back. Didn't have to wait very long for the call back (only about 1 hour) and when I went through my symptoms again, he again was very understanding and willing to listen to ensure a proper diagnosis. He suggested that based on my description, I needed an appointment sooner rather than later and while I explained that only certain times were possible for me to attend, he suggested (brilliantly) that I could send across photographs of the problem area for him to look at and then he would call me back. Again, the photographs were sent and within 30 minutes of sending them he was back on the phone to me informing me that I needed urgent treatment and the medications required for said treatment would be available immediately at the nearest pharmacy. 15 minutes later, I collected my medication from the pharmacy and am now (I hope) on a solid road to recovery. Had it not been for the rapid triage, effective diagnostic methods (which catered to my each and every need) and urgent prescription dispatch, things might have been different. Praise to each and every link in the chain at this incredible practice and long may their superb handling of patients in need continue.
